Organization Overview

Descartes Développement & Innovation (DDI) is the information and promotion association for the Sustainable City Technopole, situated at the heart of Cité Descartes in the eastern part of the Paris Region. DDI's scope of operations includes managing a FabLab, an Incubator, and a French Tech Community.
Within the Paris-Vallée de la Marne territory, DDI fosters serendipitous connections among academia, local authorities, and businesses within a cutting-edge research ecosystem dedicated to building a Sustainable City. Aligned with the regional development policy centered on innovation, the Technopole Descartes encourages cross-fertilization and provides tailored support to innovative companies at all stages of maturity. This support includes project engineering, assistance with public and private financing, guidance on ecological and digital transitions, network facilitation, and the organization of conferences, workshops, and B2B meetings.
Furthermore, DDI has formed partnerships with corporations to foster collaborations that enhance networking, technology and startup scouting, and open innovation.
A Sustainable City is an urban area that integrates the economic, social, and environmental pillars essential for sustainable development. It addresses citizens' needs for comfort, services, and resilience while tackling environmental challenges and considering the requirements of future generations.
