Professional Bio

Brenda Cromer is the CEO and Co-Founder of Frontier Kitchen, a food business incubator and shared commercial kitchen company serving entrepreneurs in Northern Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. Since launching Frontier Kitchen in 2014, Brenda has built an operator-led model that combines production space, business education, hands-on coaching, food-safety support, and a peer community designed to help emerging food companies move from idea stage to sustainable growth.
Before founding Frontier Kitchen, Brenda worked as an intelligence analyst with a focus on organizational analytics—experience that shaped her practical, systems-based approach to entrepreneurship support. Her work centers on identifying the underlying barriers that prevent small food businesses from scaling, then building the operational structures, training, and accountability that help founders overcome them. Under her leadership, Frontier Kitchen has supported hundreds of entrepreneurs, including companies that have grown into restaurants, retail brands, and larger-scale food ventures.
For incubator owners and managers, Brenda brings a practitioner’s perspective on what it takes to run a high-touch, high-impact food business incubator. Her approach emphasizes that shared kitchens are not simply real estate; they are platforms for education, compliance, production discipline, market readiness, and community. Through Frontier Kitchen, she has developed a model that helps entrepreneurs understand their numbers, navigate regulation, build repeatable processes, and make better decisions as they grow.
