InBIA Announces New Board Members and Recognizes the Service of Those Leaving

InBIA Announces New and Returning Directors, Honors Outgoing Members

ORLANDO, FL – The International Business Innovation Association (InBIA) today announced the results of its Board of Directors election, adding two new directors and re-electing three incumbents.

Newly elected directors

  • Lauren Mathena, Director of Economic Development & Community Engagement, Mid-Atlantic Broadband Communities Corporation (MBC)

  • Jean-Christophe de Tauza, CEO, Descartes Development & Innovation

Re-elected for a second term

  • Kristin Burton, Assistant Professor, Purdue University Northwest

  • Ned Staebler, President and CEO, TechTown Detroit

  • Linda Ufland, Director of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Commercialization, UTRGV Entrepreneurship & Commercialization Center

InBIA’s Board of Directors is composed of leaders of entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs) from across the United States and around the world. The Board provides governance and strategic direction in support of InBIA’s mission to equip entrepreneur support professionals with resources, training, thought leadership, and community that improve entrepreneurial outcomes.

“InBIA’s board members prioritize member services, safeguard the association’s financial health, and plan for the future,” said Charles Ross, President and CEO of InBIA. “Each director is a proven thought leader in our field and brings a deep history of engagement with InBIA. We appreciate their service and commitment to strengthening the association.”

InBIA also extends its gratitude to directors concluding their service:

  • Marc Alessi, Director of Investment Program Management – Division of Pension Investment & Cash Management, Office of the NYS Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli

  • Steve DeBretto, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Lake County Partners

  • Gloria Ware, CEO and Capital Co-Pilot, GTB Advisors, LLC

  • Lynnette White-Colin, Chief Executive Officer, The Aya Foundation

Additionally, the Board has appointed Melissa Vincent, CEO, Pipeline Entrepreneurs, to fill the seat vacated by Marc Alessi.

The new and returning directors will begin their terms at the InBIA Board of Directors meeting in early November.
